About us

Established in 2014, Al Maymouna Education, part of the Al Maymouna Tanmiyah NGO, is created to provide assistance to young Syrian refugees and their families in Lebanon. To date, Al Maymouna Education runs two schools in regions of Akkar and Bekaa and provides free of charge quality education, healthcare, and support to all qualified and officially registered students.

Since May 2018, Al Maymouna Education has teamed up with the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service (CCECS) at the American University of Beirut (AUB) to ensure the quality education and services provided meet agreed-upon standards. As a result, Al Maymouna Education offers quality education to over 530 Syrian refugees in accordance with the Lebanese Ministry of Education curricula, through the establishment of well-equipped schools and the employment of a qualified teaching staff.
